Welcome to the Western
States Trail Foundation, proud sponsor of the Tevis Cup 100 Miles One Day Ride.
The Board of Governors invites all endurance riders to join us in the events
planned for 2009. The next running of the Tevis Cup Ride is scheduled for
August 1st. Prior to that, we will offer the annual Tevis Cup Fun Ride and the
second Two Day Educational Ride. Watch this website for further information and
application forms.
Although we were
disappointed by the cancellation of the 2008 ride due to health and safety
concerns caused by wildfires, plans are underway to make the 2009 event a
memorable one for all those involved. Make 2009 the year you ride, volunteer or
support this premier endurance event over the Sierra Nevada. Remember the words
of our founder, Wendell Robie. “Ride a horse. Really ride!”
